The Shame and Medicine Project and the Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health are pleased to welcome to the University of Exeter, Peter Miller, Professor of Violence Prevention and Addiction Studies, Deakin University, to give the seminar:
‘How Can Nightlife Violence Possibly be Related to Trauma & Shame’ on 16 October 2024, 1-2pm BST.
This talk will briefly describe the work Peter and his team does in the CONNECT Research and Training Initiative at Deakin University, before reviewing some of their findings from the 5 largest studies conducted on nightlife, and how their research led them to wanting to understand trauma, then shame and relationship science, finishing with a discussion of what they see as the next steps.
