We are delighted to share our latest Graphic Medicine pieces.
Experiences of shame are powerful, deeply held, and infrequently shared; finding the words to describe them can be difficult. The Shame Space, in collaboration with the Shame and Medicine Project, and with support from the Duke—Exeter Initiator & Accelerator grants and an Enhanced Research Award from the Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health— commissioned six graphic artists to bring dimensionality, imagery, and depth to their research and shame stories. Each piece is accompanied by questions for individual reflection and/or group discussion.
