NEW DATASET

The anonymised data from our research is available through the UK Data Store. It is a new dataset, comprising of qualitative data from patients, medical students, and qualified doctors on their experiences of shame and other self-conscious emotions in relation to receiving, providing, or training to provide medical care. It includes 204 participants in total (95 patients, 51 doctors, and 58 medical students), 777 individual diary entries (134 from patients, 312 from doctors and 331 from medical students) and 81 interviews (20 with patients, 41 with doctors and 20 with students).
